McTimoney Therapy for back pain in Horses and Dogs
Like humans animals can be susceptible to back, neck, pelvic and musculoskeletal pain and can benefit from physical therapy to help alleviate and resolve these
problems. McTimoney for horses and dogs works to align and balance the animal’s musculoskeletal system promoting health, soundness and performance in companion, competition and working
animals. The treatment helps to resolve back pain in horses and dogs and can help to rehabilitate horses and dogs after injury.
McTimoney is a gentle non-invasive technique that is based on swift, light force adjustments precise to the joints being treated. It is a whole body treatment that helps restore the body to its natural balanced state by treating misalignments and associated muscle tension in the musculoskeletal system to allow healing to begin.
Based in Wakefield West Yorkshire I am a fully qualified and insured McTimoney Animal Practitioner with an MSc in Animal Manipulation from the McTimoney Chiropractic College and I am also a member of the McTimoney Animal Association. I travel throughout Yorkshire and the surrounding counties and I work alongside your animal’s vet to ensure a safe, appropriate and effective treatment.
The treatment of animals is currently regulated under the Veterinary Act which means that owners must consult their vet before the treatment to obtain Veterinary Consent. Most vets are aware of the benefits of complementary treatments for animals and will readily give their permission for the treatment.
